Job Functions

Basic Qualifications:
15 yrs. in oil and gas with major contractor or consultant predominantly performing detail design of FPSO's Bachelor Degree in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, Marine or Equivalent
Preferably Registered Professional Engineer or member of professional engineering society

The Role:

  • Direct Naval Architecture/Marine Engineering team as a Lead Engineer.
  • Lead the Discipline engineering design of the assigned work area and complete within planned schedule and budget, in accordance with standards and project-specific procedures and to a high professional standard.
  • Plan, organize and direct all aspects of Discipline execution on the assigned project including scope, deliverables, schedule and all manpower resources - agree allocations with the Discipline Manager.
  • provide assistance in feasibility studies for single point mooring designs and relocation/conversion of FPSOs.
  • Perform stability, longitudinal strength, seakeeping analyses for platforms (jacket/topside)
  • transportation studies.
  • Perform installation studies for float-over mating (including preparation of
  • docking/mating/undocking installation sequence, installation AIDS specifications, installation
  • manuals) and jacket launching operations.
  • Prepare engineering reports, specifications and procedures.
  • Handle Marine Warranty Surveyor and Client approval
  • Prepare Tender and Bids studies (vessel suitability checks)
  • Participation in the execution of offshore preparations (e.g. loadout and installation of offshore
  • platforms).

Responsibilities

  • responsible for the delivery of engineering work scope in line with the project’s technical specification, budget and planning.

  • Perform stability, longitudinal strength, sea keeping analyses for platforms (jacket/topside)
  • transportation studies.
  • Perform installation studies for float-over mating (including preparation of
  • docking/mating/undocking installation sequence, installation AIDS specifications, installation
  • manuals) and jacket launching operations.
  • Write engineering reports, specifications and procedures.
  • Direct drafters for drawing issuance.
  • Handle Marine Warranty Surveyor and Client approval
  • Prepare Tender and Bids studies (vessel suitability checks)
  • Participation in the execution of offshore preparations (e.g. loadout and installation of offshore
  • platforms).

Job Requirements

Requirements

  • Degree or Master in Naval Architecture/ Marine Engineering/ Ocean Engineering.
  • Good knowledge in hydrodynamics and marine analyses.
  • Relevant experience in following marine operations: mating/float over, jacket launch, mooring
  • analysis, dynamic lifting analyses, transportation engineering (sea fastening).
  • At least 8 years of working experience in the offshore and marine engineering industry.
  • Softwares: Maxsurf / GHS (Stability/ Longitudinal Strength), Orcaflex/ Moses/ Deeplines/ AQWA (Hydrodynamics), Ariane/ Diodore (seakeeping-mooring).
